Chelate Concentration

Copper-Field not only has the purest form of ortho-ortho EDDHA, it also has the highest percentage of it. This accelerates absorption and translocation, making it far more efficient than other chelated fertilizers.

Copper-Field Application

Application

Copper-Field was developed exclusively for foliar applications. You can spray it throughout the season to capitalize on crop protection timing or the critical flag leaf stage in cereal crops.

You can tank mix Copper-Field with many herbicides and insecticides. Refer to the product label for specific recommendations.

Copper-Field has a low-salt formulation that’s noncorrosive and safe to apply on all cereal crops during any leaf stage.

On all crops, Copper-Field works best when mixed with enough water to equal a rate of 5-10 gal/Ac for maximum coverage

Wheat and Barley

Application rate and timing can be any one of the following:

  • 2 gal/Ac during herbicide applications.
  • 2 gal/Ac at the flag leaf stage.
  • 1 gal/Ac at herbicide timing followed by 1 gal/Ac at the flag leaf stage.

Corn and Sorghum

  • Application timing for both crops is at the V5 leaf stage and can be made with many herbicides.
  • Use rates vary but 2 gal/Ac is most common.

Mixing With Crop Protection Chemicals

  • Copper-Field can be custom blended with many crop protection chemicals, as well as other macro or micronutrients.
  • In the absence of published data, check chemical compatibility by performing a jar test before tank mixing.

  • Copper-Field 21-0-0 contains nitrogen (N) composed of 75% liquid urea and 25% urea ammonium nitrate.
  • Copper-Field contains 0.3% copper (Cu) and 0.15% iron (Fe).
  • All micronutrients within Copper-Field are ortho-ortho EDDHA chelated.
  • Note that the ortho-ortho EDDHA chelation can also make other micronutrients in the soil soluble for uptake.

Precautions

  • As with any foliar nitrogen application, some cosmetic crop response is possible.
  • Lower use rates and higher spray water volumes increase crop safety.
